Texting while driving is dangerous and illegal in many cities, including San Antonio. But despite that fact, many people still do it.
One concerned father wants to head off disaster. Troy Orner has designed an app that blocks calls, emails and texts while driving.
He says he has been working on the app, called "Life Before Text" for the past two years.
If you're driving down the road and try to send a text, a message pops up saying no cell phone use while driving.
Emergency calls can be made while the app is installed. If a teen disables it, an email is sent to the parents.
Orner's inspiration for the app are his triplets who he says are growing up fast and will be behind the wheel within eight years.
The cost of the app is $3.98.
