SAN ANTONIO -- In this tough economy, many companies have cut back on donations, but San Antonio's Rackspace donated the one thing it has plenty of - employees.
Rackspace employees took over Ed White Middle School Saturday. They were packing backpacks with school supplies, painting rooms, and doing a little landscaping to improve the school's curb appeal.
Of the seven schools in Northeast Independent School District that Rackspace has adopted, this is the third one that employees have taken over for the day.
"Rackspace has adopted the seven schools that surround our headquarters, and we want to make sure every one of those kids shows up with the school supplies they need to succeed," said Rackspace CEO, Graham Weston.
