Employees of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio and community leaders staged a protest Thursday to call on the city to enforce its agreement with the hotel.

They say the hotel received public funding, and that in the management agreement all employees of the hotel must be employees of Hyatt.

Protestors said, however, that most hotel housekeepers are subcontracted.

In a statement, Grand Hyatt San Antonio said they use staffing companies to supplement certain functions so that it can operate efficiently.
