It's a step toward improving economic development on the city's south side. Fuerza Unida, an organization designed to empower women in the workforce is unveiling a new denim line that will be made locally.
The organization was formed in 1990 after one of Levi Strauss' south-side factories shut down leaving more than 1100 San Antonians out of work.
The new line will debut at a UTSA fashion show on September 29.
