SAN ANTONIO -- A fight caught on tape after the Spurs game on Wednesday night is drawing attention to security at the arena.
The San Antonio Spurs organization is in charge of security at all games. It hires off-duty Bexar County deputies to manage security at the AT&T center.
The fight happened in the hallway concourse at the arena. It lasted about 46 seconds with no law enforcement in sight. It also appears no one even tried to call for security. Instead, fans cheered.
"I'm sure the appropriate action is being taken by the San Antonio Spurs organization and their security force," said Paul Berry, spokesperson for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. "There are ample amount of deputies to serve the Spurs games and we increase the amount of deputies by 25 percent during the playoffs."
A spokesperson for the Spurs organization told KENS 5 it's looking into the situation.
