A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection to several robberies at the Shops at La Cantera.

The first incident happened on October 19. According to Joshua Wells' arrest warrant, he attacked a mall employee while she was on a smoke break.

He allegedly punched her several times and then stole her phone.

Investigators said two weeks later he robbed a man using a BB gun. Wells allegedly stole the man's cell phone and items in his shopping bag which included a newly purchased i-Pad.

Investigators said mall security had surveillance video showing the suspect in the two robberies.

According to arrest affidavit, Wells is suspected in another theft case at the mall as well as at UTSA where he is a student.

Wells was arrested Monday and booked into the Bexar County Jail on  an $80,000 bond.
