SAN ANTONIO -- A Union Pacific train hauling cement and lumber was damaged around 3 a.m. Monday after police say two of its cars jumped the tracks near Wetmore and Wurzbach Parkway.

Officials with Union Pacific said the two cars were empty and that the investigation may take months to determine what caused the cars to derails.

Union Pacific is also investigation what caused a train to derail last month near Hollywood Avenue and North Flores, just north of downtown.

No injuries were reported and there was no impact on traffic.
