SAN ANTONIO -- A 32-year-old man is behind bars after police received an anonymous tip that pinned him to a robbery spree last month.

Johnny Sanchez is accused of robbing two Valero stores and a Walmart on Sept. 12, according to a San Antonio police arrest affidavit.

Police said Sanchez told one of the store clerks that he had already robbed a couple other stores.

A tipster contacted police after surveillance footage was broadcast on KENS 5.

Sanchez was arrested on robbery charges and taken to Bexar County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
