Poll:
What group or clique did you hang out with in high school?

School's out at John Marshal High School, and exiting the facility are your typical cliques: cheerleaders, nerds, jocks and Goths… and werewolves?

"We're not to be feared,” said Argus, his ghost-white, eyes staring at the camera.

Argus is one of several members of the wolf pack, one of several packs scattered about San Antonio's north side.

His friend Katze Lupus Burn added, "We're not a gang at all. Gangs are like posers. They just want attention, that's why they go along tagging stuff. The pack? We're a family. We go to each other for our problems."

The fascination with werewolves dates back to the 19-30's, with popular movies starring Lon Chaney, Jr. More recently, movies like Van Helsing and the Twilight series have captured the attention of teenagers. They may not be mutating from man to wolf, but Northside school district counselors warn these teens are experiencing transformations of their own: from childhood to adulthood.

Northside School District counselor Dr. Deborah Healy said, “Young people are looking to define their identities, sometimes to come together and affiliate around a theme or an idea, just really to belong, that sense of belonging."

And a sense of belonging is just what this group says they're after.

"You get friends. You get a place where you belong. You're pretty much accepted to where you are, who you are, what you are," said Deikitsen Wolfram Lupus, the unofficial leader of the pack at Brandeis High. He says he's got some wolf in him, howling sometimes to get out.

"We just like hang out here, we're just like another family. This is our second home, basically," added Kit, dressed in pink with a touch of leather and chains.

And you couldn't help but notice the eyes. And the fangs. It's a style, we're told. And nothing more.

Friend Guerrero continued, "We're not trying to be intimidating, we're not trying to be menacing. We're just trying to live our daily lives and hang out. You know? We're teenagers and we just want to have fun."

And they gather attention, too. One of the wolf pack, whom many consider the "alpha dog," received some international acclaim when a neighbor's dog went missing, only to have its skull found in the possession of 18-year old, Wolfie Blackheart. It created a firestorm on the internet, and was San Antonio's first glimpse into the world of these transformed teens.

Northside officials confirm wolf packs do exist in at least half a dozen schools, with anywhere from 12 to 20 werewolves in each. Dress codes are strictly enforced, NISD officials say. The wolf pack isn't allowed the tails, chains, or anything else that negatively affects the learning environment.

Brandeis head counselor Bill Hill said, “They walk down the hallways and meld into the fabric of the school and don't seem to be troublesome in the school environment."

Northside counselors say it's extreme expression. Dei says it's something deeper than violating the school's dress-code.

"I don't believe anyone is just human. Everyone's got something else mixed in with them. They just have to look inside themselves and find out what it is."

Dei's got his own leash he wears. His mom has a leash on him to: Pam Manley keeps Dei tethered to family, his chores and his studies.

"As soon as he walks in the door, he is supposed to take out the fangs, lose the lenses and put his hair back," Manley said. "They're good kids. And it takes some courage to stand up and be who you want to be and be able to express yourself in this way."

@deikitsen: Actually Fey is a perfectly acceptable spelling of the word, just as Faerie and Fairy are synonymous. @wildwings: I know, but if each different coven/clan/sect/tribe made the news, it would loose its significance. The Vampyre Covens in Florida haven't made the news in my memory, and they've been in high schools and middle schools since well before I was ((I am 21 now)). Still, just because we go unnoticed isn't a bad thing, it just means that those who seek us out are those who truly belong, or such is the thought amongst most Covens. Take care, all. ~M

I'm part of a wolf pack that spreads all along the Eastern Coast. We keep in touch through IMs and meeting, at the very least, once a year. We have a total of 17 wolves in our pack, but we tend to keep it on a lower profile. Those few people who do know about us are considered honorary members of the pack. Anybody who wishes to speak about the wolves (we consider ourselves Wolf Souls, not Werewolves), feel free to message me at OkamiKoinu@yahoo.com, WintyrLuvr@yahoo.com, or unbrokenLIGHT@yahoo.com. Also, I have one MSN/Hotmail account which is MasochisticBlade@hotmail.com. Feel free to add me to any messenger service, just make sure to mention that you saw this post here, otherwise, I am probably going to block you. No hate messages, please! Just trying to help others.

I love how the news always makes the different people look like bad people. Jeez, cut us a little slack here, we didn't do anything or hurt anyone. It's better that we're wearing tails than going out and doing drugs or something else bad for us. And they only put that pack on the news because they think Twilight is to blame when we've been here since before those books came out.

There's absolutely no mention of the fairy clans centering in and around San Antonio and near the Eastern Seaboard, specifically in Ohio and Pennsylvania. This is ridiculous. Ridiculous. It's not as though these werewolf people are the only "others" walking around. Show a little love for the Fey People. To be fair, that may be because we're highly secretive and tend to migrate. However, this does not mean that the fey society is in any way an invalid part of San Antonian or Eastern society any more than the werewolves or Witches of Eastwick are.

Hello out there. If you're part of a wolf pack, or know someone who is, i wanted to present you with an opportunity. Grab all the wolves you can find let them see it. All of the packs are put through these negative reactions because the people making them see the packs as a generalized group, affiliated with people like 'Wolfie' the dog slayer, and the blackened pack seen in the clip above. They see all of you as some level of threat. The issue is, while they're thinking of you all on a generalized scale, each pack is isolated, left to their own devices. I'm starting an unnoficial organization to connect you all together. The more packs we have join the more we can do, from connecting alphas and members cross-country, to having actual get-togethers and meetings. You're not obligated to do much of anything, just don't fall too far out of contact, and try to be respectful. If you're part of a pack, or otherwise, and you want information, contact me at Taylorthetman@msn.com. thanks a lot

I'm am a 18 year old werewolf, yet i do not express my self in that way... I was raised differently as a child always looking out for myself and no one else. For my parents did not care much for me. and "fake fangs" in my opinion are distasteful. lucky i was born with natural and real fangs both upper jaw and lower... I'm a lone wolf and will always be one, since of my childhood years i rarely trust anyone.. but hell if your like me express the way you want to, no one can ever tell you who you are... or what you are.. its funny how now people are realizing us now.. but all those people thinking that wolf packs are now a hit are so wrong... i been like this a child of three years old. play fighting with my cousins as a pup, and yet to this day they have scars from me even my teeth were sharp at that age, until i got to my adult teeth which are still somewhat "monstrous"... well long live my fellow wolfmen and wolfgirls...

Even though Im not a teen wolf, if you guys are really about family and taking care of each other, Im all for that. Im the same way. Im part of a counter culture/sub culture movement that isnt a gang either, but is more like family. It would be awesome to get to talk to you guys and just hear more about all this. I respect and support you guys. Keep your heads up. Love from Illinois, Laura

I just wanted to add that though the presence of wolf packs is not a new or even rare phenomena, I applaud you for being individuals. The supreme court case "Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District" gives you the right to wear your tail and protects your freedom of speech. Here in Iowa, I am the only alpha of my pack, and used that ruling a few years back as a means to end the totolatarian banning of our tails. But then again, here in Iowa we don't look at someone who appears slightly different and start screaming "Satanists!", so you may be out of luck. It's actually funny though because satanists by definition of their beliefs, don't believe in Satan and do not worship him. They just like the way it drives christians crazy when they say it. Oh well, I thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster (sauce be upon him) that I don't live in Texas!

ktzilla is right. But on another note, I can care less about what a bunch of wacked out kids want to do (I'm 18 myself) but it's just stupid when you try and comment on other people saying they're looking for attention when you yourself are dressing up trying to be different... Well news flash overweight sister! Wearing tails and those stupid eye contact lenses are going to attract attention! Different = attention! And it's pretty obvious here what these kids are trying to attract. A few of these kids need some serious help, especially their little "wolf leader" or whatever. If they are going to be followers to someone like that, then they can expect nothing out of their lives.

Intolerance is having a closed mind. Tolerance is that of an open minded individual. I had to deal with intolerance in high school because I looked different was different and refused to conform to the other people's ways. Picked on teased hated what ever you want to call it, I was the target. There were others in school who where targets as well and I stood up to the bullies and the intolerable and took most of the "beatings". I speak for what I believe in and I believe in being who you are is better and easier than being someone you are not. I'm 25 years old and I still remember the intolerance like it was yesterday and that was 10 years ago. Sure, go on bashing us because we are different from the "main stream" but at least those of us who had the guts to stand up and be ourselves are being recognized and only we know the truth behind who we are whether or not our image is negative. No one can tell us about ourselves except us.

Judge a Jedi or a Sith for carrying around their lightsaber. We aren't any different from the Wolf Packs or Vampire Covens. We're just people, supernatural people yes, but people none the less, and we should be treated just the same, not any different like we're outcasts of society.

unit 491, i wana hug you! it's true, the ''weirdest'' group that stands out the most is the one that attracts all attention, positive AND negative. for example, i'm one person in a group of about 15-20 kids who are composed of all the freshman: gays, emos, goths, left-overs, etc... basically, we're what no one wanted in their group, so we formed our own, and now people think we're all gay druggies. seriously, people need to take a break and get to know people before judging them. and they should realize that it's not always for attention, sometimes it's just what we feel and how we choose to express ourselves and relate to others. (yes, i have mood swings and this is different from my ast comment, but thank PMS for that -_-)

personally, i'm glad that groups like this are showing up. i live in Washington, and can't find anyone who bothers to stand out and express themselves. and if they are, then no one has a very unique mind. when me and my group do anything that we feel like doing, everyone asks why, and we get weird glances in the halls. and i personally am part of something like this, except that my group lives in a different state. it makes me feel very separated especially since none of my WA friends are like them. i wish i could go join my pack.

To all the Weres reading this and those featured- I want to commend you for being so open about your lifestyle. I am head of a Vampyric coven in South Florida, and encountered much of the same negative attention and criticism that I am certain has plagued you all, within school and in public. Whilst stereotypically our two groups are at odds with one another, it does not stop me from having a sense of pride for those of us who are of such a different sub-culture if you will. And for those of you ready to criticize me, be aware, my coven, and Vampyric covens in general existed long before the Twilight saga or Dracula movies and books were ever in print. And no, we are not blood drinking 'goths' looking for attention, but individuals you pass on the streets, workplace, colleges and in the malls every day of your life. We feel the energy of the people around us and thrive from it, and when push comes to shove, we support the Packs that are in counter-movement with us. ~M

Sure I got a few comments for it, but it wasn't something to keep kids from working. Jedi are among you too, and so are Sith, try spotting us out huh? It'll be harder than spotting them since we prefer to stay hidden. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

I would rather my kids, when they get to be teenagers, wear tails than have babies. Maybe that's just me. Judy, you're a freak. Go outside and meet some normal people. Jesus would want that. Your statement about not living for men screams closet lesbian shamed by the church. It's okay to come out. God loves the gays. He loves the way they call hair gel "product." So adorable.

chibiwolf1005, yes "furries" made the news but in this case its only Wolves here in San Antonio. I'm sure there are other varieties that have not "risen" yet and remaining on the down low, but the story was made popular by 1 teen who was accused of, if I remember correctly who was a "wolf" and was accused of severing the head of an animal and sticking it in the mail box. I can not remember all of the details but that's how this particular story came about. Either "wolf pack" or "furry" its creative and I don't see a problem in this particular instance of creativity. I also don't believe the teen accused of doing what was said did anything. She was targeted for being different. We all know: "Being different is bad" Shame for not being a mindless drone. Shame for creativity. Being different and unique is what is great. If I had it my way, I would be a furry too in the form of a squirrel. What I do requires conformity since I work for the federal government.

I can't believe this. We furries made the news? Now I'm from Marietta, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta, and I can tell you this isn't just happening in San Antonio. We're not called "wolf packs" actually. The news is incorrect. They might actually ask us instead. We're called furries. We don't all represent just wolves. We're foxes, lions, horses, raccoons, rabbits, whatever animal you can name. And the tails ARE real fox tails. When fur distributors get fox fur, the tail is a leftover piece they don't need, so instead of wasting them, we furries use them. They're painted different colors and made to look like certain animals. A lot of us have hats to go with them. Hats? They have ears. Different hats represent different animals. You can tell that what you're looking at is a feline or a fox because they look different. I personally have a purple striped "cheshire" fox tail, and a purple fox hat. A purple fox named Anima. That's who I am. We all represent our own characters, fursonas.

Let's get things straight. 1, being in a "wolf pack" does not make you a satanist, non-believer of any higher power or anyone different. It's a creative outlet for expressionism, way better than the alternative "gang" style tactics where you are "rolled" in and "rolled" out. Often times "Rolling" out in a gang often means the end of your life. These kids are no different than me when I went to high school. You had Emo Punk and Goth. Now its a new breed, and they represent a higher standard to which they can rely on each other. Yeah, yeah you probably shouldn't give me a gun either because I play Dungeon and Dragons WoW and other RPGs... These kids know right from wrong and I think they know the difference between reality and non reality. Here's an idea to the WoW fans out there.... We should all make a costume of our WoW character(s) and wear them to an anonymous party decked out with scenes from WoW. Just stay in character. Sounds funny but can be great fun.

Role playing is fun, but there are dangers. This stuff comes from the WhiteWolf/WorldofDarkness publishing and gaming house out of Stone Mountain, GA. Their products are suffused with darkness and violence, vand can in fact lead to outright satanism in some cases. They also produced the popular ''Vampire, the Masquerade'' line of role-playing games and books, which the Columbine shooters were very much into. Whatever you do, don't give these kids access to guns. "When the clocks strike midnight the White Wolves will begin to howl and when the Wolves begin to howl the Wolves begin to hunt. You have been warned. Hail Britannia."

I don’t get why everyone is so hung up over these kids. I recently graduated and I give props to anyone who is just themselves, without feeling like they have to follow social norms. People need to chill out. I mean, there is a lot worse issues in your normal American high school then just having a wolf pack. I mean real life wolf packs are about family, and loyalty, communication... yeah, gee, that sounds horrible. And just because you dress in black and have chains doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean you are seeking attention, or bad, or evil or whatever. People are so judgmental. If they aren't doing anything to hurt anyone then who cares? Big Deal. Get over it.

"I urge you to read the Bible and get things clear for yourself. Their is absolutely nothing that can be dark coming out of the Bible." ~ JudyJ. Hey Judy, I did read it. Four times. It made me an atheist. When you say there's nothing dark in the Bible you've either never read it yourself, or forgot everything except what you were told. Here are some more common verses I'll pluck out of my King James version: Mathew 15:21-26, Isaiah 13:15-18, Judges 21:10-24, 2 Samuel 12:11-14, Judges 5:30, 2 Kings 2:23-24, Matthew 10:34-39, Isaiah 14:21, Ezekiel 9:5-7, Jeremiah 48:10, Exodus 32:26-29. If murder, rape, and bashing babies heads on rocks isn't dark I don't know what is. However that's only what I picked out from a mild skim of the good book. There is so much more like it. Enjoy your Bible Judy, but don't push it on others.

Personally I don't find this to be news. The whole news crew descending upon these teens is ridiculous. Slow news day or not, pointing out one odd clique in a high school is so childish that I feel pity for all of Texas to have Ken5 as their news system. Pushing them out in the spotlight to be scoffed at is both hateful, blatantly rude, and so uncivil the mind boggles. And @ JudyJ, This country is secular. God is not a mandate for everyone. Stop trying to scare children with folk tales and keep your imaginary friends to yourself. There are other religions around you, and the nonreligious. For anyone else oppressed in Texas by the likes of JudyJs everywhere here are some groups that can help you, you are not alone: Freedom From Religion Foundation Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science The Brights American Atheists American Humanist Association Atheist Alliance International Atheists For Human Rights GodIsImaginary.com EvilBible.com Internet Infidels

I think these people are cool because they express their selves and are brave. In school I was not actually part of a "group". It was my group. Which consisted only of me. Because no one was like me and no one wanted to be like me. I was different adn all the kids picked on me for that. So,okay, boohoo. I want to be a stormchaser, and volcanologist.. Okay so I suppoerted the Communist movement. Big whoop. Okay so I LOVED Starwars. I never wore makeup or dresses, I never made myself pretty, and being a girl at my school, it made me weird. But I enjoyed EVERY bit of being different. And I give props to anyone who tries to be themselves, and express who they really are, instead of trying to fit in with everyone else. So I give these guys props.

Wow, wasn't that thing with Wolfie forever ago? I remember my friends sticking up for the wolf pack because that was when a lot of people started hating on them. It's rather sad how many people are picked on at our schools, thankfully I fit in with pretty much all the cliques, unfortunately theres a lot of fighting between my friends and its almost always over how people dress. Seriously, people need to get over clothes so much, they're not as imporant as the actual people wearing them.

Sure, like wise in this topic, there are some thingsi dont agree with or what people say, but guys, do you really want to personally attack somebody, a child even, for just being themselves? they take courage in not stepping down, not being hurt b others, and going with what they feel comfortable with, what they are, what they believe. And, when people like you attack us, even when we wish for best intenions and mean to hurt noneone, it hurts. everybody hates us, abuses us, is unequal to us. WE apologize that we, children, dont fit such perfect standards. and yes, looking up to alot of stars and comicbook characters does preach a set type of beauty and perfection. it also teaches women to be victims and weak.

deus92503, what is wrong with you? Sports heroes are the people you feel should be emulated by children? Look at the life of Babe Ruth... you will find that while he may have been a terrific baseball player, he was a fairly terrible person. The culture you want them to emulate is rife with drug use, sex crimes, and conduct that is less than flattering. While this is not all of them, it is still part of the culture and will be noted by the impressionable minds of children. Why not want them to look up to historical figures, or people that have truly added to the quality of life in this world, not to some momentary distraction from life. So what if they are good hockey, soccer, baseball, any of those, do you think they are as valuable as a Nobel Laureate? I hope for your sake, that the answer was no.

It doesn't really matter which, if this is indeed just the expression of how you truly feel, then more power to you, but do not think that it is something special or new and unique. It is a way to put on clothes, it is hanging out with certain people, it is everyday life that you change to feel special. That isn't a bad thing, just recognize it for what it is. Have fun doing whatever it is that wolf teen's or whatever do, my caring on this matter has disappeared, and so will this phase in your life, or it will evolve into the adult cultures of a related nature. Have fun being different, but don't be convinced that this is a way of life. Have fun expressing yourself, just don't assume that it is something massive and groundbreaking.

Now, back to the matter at hand. I am disappointed in the human race on a daily basis, and it ins't because of how they dress, and not always because of the rampant idiocy that plagues the world, it is because many people are hypocrites, including this little band of people. They cast judgement on others, and are angered when judgement is cast on them. They are not something new, and are borrowing off of already established cultures to eek out a sliver of the social world for themselves, okay that is fine, but don't claim it is something new. If it were there would have been some large change in style and colorization. Consider this, you can tell the difference between goth and emo, you can tell the difference between emo and jock, or grunge and prep, and it never amounts to something as small as a fuzzy tail. Sure, you may follow your own defined mentalities, but you are just a spec of a sub-culture at best, and the attention seeking actions of delusional children at worst.

Still at Judyj... I challenge you to read the bible. I also challenge you to take a history course, and compare the actual world history to that portrayed in the bible. I would also like for you to note that throughout history the bible has undergone many revisions and changes for meaningless political control. If things were as portrayed in the bible, why is the great nation of the Isrealites not noted in other bordering cultures? And why is it that if it was indeed Moses that wrote it that he addresses himself in the third person? Also, the writing style changes, and is phrased as though it is one looking back at history, and not as one who has recently, or is still experiencing the occurance. I do not dislike religion, or is followers, however, allow people to make it through their day without someone trying to convert them.

is not something that I can support. I dressed in the gothic style during high school, and still do in my adult life. The issue isn't the clothes it is the mentality that you are trying to attach to it and still claim and define as your own, or as somehow original. Cultures already exist for this sort of thing, and the attention mongering that you are doing is shameful, and is something that you really need to develop some perspective on. You can not pass judgement on others, and expect for you to be left free of the net you cast on yourselves. If you are willing to attack or criticize another culture, you will be rightly dismissed. Judyj, this is not something to preach on. Who cares what colors people wear, it has nothing to do with religious affiliation, and is hardly related. Anybody trying to use this as a place to spread whatever gospel it is that they follow is pathetic. This is the comment section on some video about kids that want to have some wolf inside them...

These little kids need to realize that posers are exactly what they are. If they are willing to label the gang CULTURE (which I do not support) as posers, when they follow the same mentality as a place to fit in and an extension of family. Those little kids are a cheap knock off of goth, and even emo. So the only thing it takes to define a new culture/sub-culture is the wearing of something furry? As previous posters have pointed out, the culture for that already exists, and it carries a stigma. This "style" is nothing more than attention seeking, and this is more than obvious considering how they stress such phrases as: "We're not to be feared." Do they honestly believe that they are intimidating? If they do, they have even more reason to seek out the help of a licensed professional. I don't really care what people do with their lives, and even less about the clothes that they wear, however, putting down other cultures while using them as the basis for your own...

I have a lot of respect for you and your pack and truly understand you. The feeling and longing many of you have is called species dysphoria. At times people like you and I may feel as though a beast is trapped inside us. Sadly people in this world do not understand your form of expression and end up confusing your pack with emotionals and gothics. The best advice I can give you is to ditch the chains and have more contrast in your clothing color. Black wolves are only the result of inbreeding with pet dogs among wolves. Wearing only black is indeed poor color coordination. Wolves often come in grey and white variations. Also deikitsen, Many furries are only role-playing to help expose what is inside the heart and soul. People often say the fandom is all about anthropomorphics but there is plenty of room for the more feral types. In fact, about 32% of them feel as though they are an animal on the inside. Have you ever heard of the term therian? Keep on howling, -Kokoro-

So far, from their posts, it seems like they want to be left alone to do their thing and from what I've read, they haven't hurt anyone. We all belonged to one group or another at school. Theirs just happens to be different. Who cares. Maybe their group teaches them tolerance for others where the accepted groups such as jocks, were loud, boisterous and bulled anyone who was different. Leave these kids alone. The Bible teaches us not to be judgmental and you certainly aren't living up to what you say are your beliefs.

judyj --- Just because someone dresses in black, or chains, or whatever they dress in, does NOT mean it represents darkness, or evil. That is pretty close minded, in all honesty. Sometimes black is just a shade, no more, no less. As a Christian ( gaspshock! ), I'm a little sad by the way other Christians ( or other like religions ) think for some reason that I am satanic, evil or darkness-loving for wearing black and/or chains, etc. It's sad, and some people need to stop talking down to others about such trivial matters. Are we not suppost to be uplifting? Isn't that what God wants? It's not right to condemn anyone for what they wear. Look past it. There are more important things, and thinking like that only pushes people further away. At least, that is my opinion.

How would it make you feel if a bunch of adults tried to make you look like a freak for it? This is really unprofessional reporting and not the kind of thing I think people should feel the need to glorify. Its sad to say that these teenagers are very disoriented and confused. Those people that approve all this and believe this is alright, have you asked yourself what God thinks about this? The Bible says God created man and woman not man and wolves or anything like that. All this dressing in black represents darkness which is evil therefore it comes from the enemy. God wants us to be in light with him! This may not seem bad now but can turn into a tragedy in the future and if you have small children I truly belive you would not want them to be around this teens. Yes "now" it may only seem like a game or nothing serious but we are at war with a great enemy which is the devil and he will take any opportunity to win souls over to him. The Bible says he's out there like a roaring lion willing to devour souls. It doesnt matter what people say or think our main concern is to do the right thing and realize that we are in this world to please God not men!

i think this is extremely stupid. the wolf pack has been around since BEFORE twilight get your facts straight, first off. Second, the school has no right to say anything about the tails and contacts THEY'RE ACCESSORIES. sure they may be distracting at first, but if people wear them long enough, they'll just be a normal part of everyone's lives. Third, it was extremely rude an very unprofessional of the KENS5 team to pull at the pack's tails. That's like trying to tear off a necklace or a piece of clothing, and the fact that he "howled" is messed up. He fell, what else could he do. All of you need to stop acting like it's an alien race because it's not; it's real humans with real feelings and real rights as people. if you start saying anything about it, its violating a person's rights, which is, of course, unconstitutional.

I am not trying to preach, but when did our children begin looking up to and admiring Creatures of the night instead of Sports heros or Movie Stars. Frankly I dont consider myself old at 39 but I remember when the pledge of Allegance and Silent Prayer were abolished from school Thankfully after Id already graduated. Isnt it time we began to instill some form of Moral fiber and accountability into our children as a society. Stop supporting abberant behavior. Heck a Hundred years ago these kids would have been institutionalized. I am a father of Six and they range from 1 yr to 18 yrs. I would rather see my children follow a path to redemption and prosperity than sadness and the wish of playing at being a monster. Arent there enough real monsters around with all the terrorists, pedophiles and rapists to name but a few? Say your prayers.

I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes...but seriously, these kids are probably starved for positive attention...and bored...so they found a common interest and are role playing. Nothing wrong with that no matter how silly they look (5 years from now they will look back with embarrassment and will doubtfully want to tell their children what they did). IF they do get out of control (and it sounds like maybe "Wolfie Blackheart" may have, they authorities will catch up to them...they always do...its called KARMA, kids, and one way or another, you will get caught. Lastly, I feel sorry for the kids...I think their parents have failed them. The boy whose mother was on the newsclip needs to wake up and smell the coffee. He may be a good boy, but I have a feeling she hasn't been a good mother.

What type of POLL is this? How about writing a story on the children who are making a difference in the community. How about writing about the children who decide not to TAG and go Mudding. How about something interesting for the community .

i am aware of the nieghbors dog. it was not the same dog! please do not talk as if u know what has happened. i know someone close who works wit the law and there is some confusion over that. but i also happe to know them! the dogs r very identical but they are not the same one. there is proff that it was dead befor hand but the law enforcments r keeping some things secret for the right reasons! as for the person willing 2 shoot them with the gun. not very nice... they do stay out of restricted areas and out of troulble, just cause they look bad that does not mean they are!!!

There were wolf packs BEFORE the stupid twilight saga. It's no fad. Yea certain people make it that way, but those are the ones who are fake. As Lupus Stated, there is something in all of us. I'm of the Bastet. Even my religion is based on the Bastet [the worship of cats as gods]. As for Wolfie, what she did was purely from the heart. The dog was already dead, so she wanted to have something to remember it. I wish people would stop making such a big deal of it. IT- WAS- ALREADY- DEAD!!!

Parents, keep your young wolves leashed this summer cause they will roam at night and get braver and cause mayhem and gang up on defenseless people.I work at night and have a gun permit. My job entitles me to carry a firearm.I have run into thugs, gangs and thieves on ocassion.Believe me shooting wolves will be no problem in defense of others or my person. The schools should enforce the dress code and not cater to this hoodlums. When do teens dictate to school officials and parents on how to dress.Lets get back to school studies and not how kids want to dress up for school.if this school administrators can't enforce the dress code, then fire them and elect those that can.Enforce and stop gang activity in the schools now.Hell if these teen wolves say they are not a gang.A wolf pack hunts together and will get braver when they find a weak prey.Watch out teen wolves,I will get silver bullets.

mcrfan12, the boy to whom that dog belonged lived near the girl who beheaded it. there were sign up all over the neighborhood. why didn't they take him home when they first found him? and why didn't they take him home for burial? we have NO proof the dog was dead before the beheading.

please fo rall that is good leave these kids be... i know some of then the are not cappable of mured or any other crime. frankly they are much nicer and much more helpful then most of the other kids out there. the tails, collars, harneses, contacts, fangs as well as anything else is not a new fad. these people belive that they are wolves. and who are you to prove them wrong. as for the dog head incadent wolfie only did that because it was already dead and she loved the dog dearly, she wanted 2 keep something 2 remember it by. also y would they do this for attention, they get picked on every time they just walk out of their house. they arent looking for fame, they probably only did this so that people would hear them out, let them know what really happens how they really feel. all in all unless they do something bad then leave them alone...

Is there any valid reason why KENS5 needs to give weirdos so much exposure? At their age I worked as did my other brothers and sisters. I didn't fads or groups. I didn't that to feel wanted. My extended family gave me the love i needed..

Thats ridiculous. Too many people reading those moronic Twilight books for little kids. Back in my day in the 70s and 80s, these dorks would have been totally laughed out of school.

Teen wolves? It's a glorified term for 'furry'. Look it up. They've been around for forever. It's not really something to report news on.

they say they're not looking for attention, but that's bull. how can you dress and act like that and not attract attention? they beheaded a dog. they're not rich - at least some of them aren't. some are neglected with no parental control. i agree that the school has dress codes and should force everybody to abide by them. no crosses because they're a gang symbol. i'd liken this more to the kid who had the funny haircut and wasn't asllowed to go to school like that. it's disruptive.

I really think that this is just another group of wealthy kids who think they have it bad in their lives and want some attention. Am i wrong or right you'll decide. And as far as the news casting of this subject i hope you'll correct yourselves, because you'll basically stated that beacuse the "Alpha Dog" was part of this warewolf group that it was ok for them as "warewolves" to go out and decapitate or brutalate live dogs. That is what people call "animal cruelty!" What will this lead to, first animals then people. So what some people might think that this is cute now I strongly hope that those people dont bite their tounges and regret what they said later.

First off if my Kids want to wear a cross to school I will let them and the school will just have to deal with it. It is their right to wear a religous symbol to school if they want. If a Muslum girl want to wear that scarf over her head I'm ok with it. If the Jewish boy want to wear a manora (I think) more power to him. But I bet no one will cross the Muslim issue and will make allowances for it (Muslium take over attempt.) On the issue of the werewolf kids what ever makes them happy as long as they are not disrutive or distructive. I was a Head or Headbanger when I was in school and now I am a Disabled Army Veteran. It is a little silly to me but at least they are not like the Vampires who use to haunt the school at night.

Ok, we allow these "werewolves" on school grounds, but we wont let a kid wear a cross in memory of his uncle killed in battle defending our way of life?
