CALIFORNIA -- Children as young as 12 years old can now have condoms delivered to their door in California.

California's Condom Access project allows children ages 12 to 19 to sign up for a condom delivery service online. The state-run initiative, which is funded by taxpayer dollars, targets counties with high teen STD rates.

Stat officials say they hope it will help lower the number of STD cases. The program has already distributed more than 30,000 condoms.
