Three suspect smash and grab thieves were arrested Monday night.
Police say their method of operation was to go to various apartment complexes around the city and use a baseball bat to smash car windshields and windows.
They were captured Monday night near Lackland Air Force Base after a witness gave police a license plate number.
In three weeks, police sway the crooks burglarized more than 500 cars all around San Antonio and made off with more than 25 thousand dollars in electronics, gift cards, tools, cell phones, car radios and toys.
The suspects face car burglary charges- but more felony charges could follow.
Police say they treated their crimes like a day job.
