A man San Antonio authorities were searching for in a homicide investigation has taken his own life after a Las Vegas chase, according police.

Bexar County deputies responding to a panic alarm on December 27, discovered the body of a woman  in the 3100 block of Carswell Bend. The woman had been shot several times, they said.

Neighbors told investigators Narada K'fonse Goodrum was seen in the area shortly before the shooting.

Neighbors also reported that the victim lived at the home and had a 5-year-old son, who was with relatives at the time of the shooting. They said the victim and Goodrum were married, but their relationship was shaky.

Deputies considered Goodrum armed and dangerous, and urged others not to approach the suspect.

On December 28, 2012, a murder warrant was issued for Goodrum for the slaying of Cynthia Goodrum.

Deputies said Goodrum traded in the Mazda 6 he was said to be driving for a 2013 Nissan Maxima.

On Wednesday, Goodrum was on the run from Las Vegas police officers when he reportedly shot himself at a motel at around 9:25 a.m.

Las Vegas Metro said no officers were injured during the chase.
