After sending hundreds of units of blood, both the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center and Lackland Air Force Base are on missions to replenish their supplies.
Civilians and military personnel are lining up across San Antonio to help, after portions of the area’s O-negative blood supply were sent to the victims from Ft. Hood’s tragedy.
Officials point out there’s a constant demand for blood in San Antonio hospitals for surgeries and emergencies, which means more donors are needed.
If you’d like to donate blood, call or go by the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center. Click here for more info.
