The San Antonio Food Bank needs help fighting hunger this fall.

The U.S. is coming out of the worst droughts in more than five decades. And it's taken a toll on food supplies.

Making matters worse, food banks nationwide are bracing for an increase in demand.

The San Antonio Food Bank is launching a backpack program that provides kids with meals on weekends when they don't have access to school lunches.

The program kicks off next week.
