San Antonio Police investigators said they responded to a domestic disturbance call Friday that nearly escalated into much more.

SAPD's swat team was called out to a home in the 1500 block of Pepple Sound.  Police said a man in his 30’s got into an argument with his brother.

The argument turned dangerous after police said the suspect went after his brother with a machete. No one was hurt but when police arrived they say the suspect then came outside with a shotgun.

He went back inside the home with that shotgun and that’s when police called for the swat team. The  suspect came back out and surrendered to police before the swat team even arrived.

“Thankfully he did, he gave himself up, the family and can rest at ease that he’s okay, at least for now,” said Sergeant Mark Ebinger.
