SAN ANTONIO -- A man serving as a designated driver flipped his vehicle Saturday night after falling asleep at the wheel, police said.
The driver allegedly dozed off around 11:30 p.m. and missed the exit at I-35 and O'Connor Road. Police said one of the three women he was driving reacted by grabbing the wheel, causing the Chevrolet Trailblazer to overcorrect.
The vehicle went airborne and rolled onto the frontage road.
The driver and his passengers suffered only minor injuries, police said.
Officers said they are considering charges against the passenger who grabbed the wheel, since she had been drinking.
