San Antonio police made two big arrests Wednesday, detaining two suspects they believe are linked to numerous burglaries with theft in the tens of thousands of dollars.
Officers said one of the suspects who is in his 20s was found sleeping in a car full of electronics at an apartment complex located off of Vance Jackson and Orsinger.
Police said the suspect in the car told police the property belonged to someone inside an apartment.
After going into the apartment they found a stolen gun and another suspect, also in his 20s, hiding in a closet, detectives said.
SAPD claims the woman in the apartment, an employee of Coco Beach, said at one point that she had given the two suspects a key to the north-side bar. Police said the suspects stole cash and electronics from the bar.
Detectives said they found more property, including dozens of silver coins that have a total estimated value of $60,000.
So far, police said it’s too early to tell how many burglaries with which the suspects might be linked.
“Right now detectives are trying to piece that together," said Officer Matthew Porter with SAPD. "From what I was told, multiple burglaries. So we’re talking a lot."
Police said two other suspects could also be facing charges.
