A man has died after being thrown out of a car on a San Antonio highway.
Just after 4 p.m. Saturday a green Izuzu Rodeo carrying five people was headed south on Loop 410 near Rigsby when one of the tires blew out.
Authorities say the driver tried to avoid hitting other cars on the highway but lost control of the car. It rolled over onto the access road.
One of the passengers in the car was riding in the cargo area where there weren't any seat belts.
The 24-year-old San Antonio man was killed after being thrown from the vehicle as it rolled over.
Officers haven't released the victim's name yet. Others in the vehicle managed to walk away uninjured.
Traffic crawled along Loop 410 South as police continued their investigation.
