SAN ANTONIO -- A new breed of volunteers is greeting people at the San Antonio International Airport.
The Pups and Planes program launched Monday. It aims to de-stress passengers and make visitors smile.
The program is the first of its kind in Texas.
"Just bringing in the pups, we can barely get through the lobby without people 'Let me touch the dog, let me touch the dog.' It's nice to be able to tell people about the dogs that we do have," Christina Soley said, a special activities coordinator.
Each of the five dogs are registered therapy dogs. The dogs and their handlers will roam the airport during the upcoming busy holiday travel season.
