Poteet police say they were called to a mobile home early Sunday morning for loud music.
The homeowner agreed to lower the volume and the police left, only to be called back in again for a fight.
During the second visit officers say they spotted teens consuming alcohol.
“There's a table outside and we see all the cans of beer and we see a couple of liquor bottles out there,” said Sgt. Luis Farias of the Poteet Police Department.
According to Farias, it appeared that each and every one of them had a can of beer on them.
About 15 teens managed to run. Police say they broke through a back room window and damaged an air conditioning unit to get out of the mobile home.
The adult accused of providing the alcohol, is former Poteet ISD board member Bonnie Horn. She could have been arrested on the spot, but police wanted to investigate further.
According to Farias, the homeowner or whomever owns the property could be held liable, criminally negligent and responsible for the actions of the kids.
The 30 teens ticketed could face community service and a fine. Whether the students face more disciplinary action at their schools remains to be seen.
UPDATE: Poteet ISD says that six of the students are Poteet athletes and have been suspended for tow games. They are also now required to participate in additional conditioning for ten days, including running laps.
The 30 teens were from four different school districts. All received tickets for possession by a minor.
