SAN ANTONIO-- On July 4, 22-year-old Destiny Rios was arrested in the 2300 block of Culebra Road. An officer approached her and soon realized she was wanted on a warrant for prostitution.

The SAPD officer said when he attempted to arrest her she resisted. Two other officers who were parked nearby approached and helped subdue Destiny Rios.

Lorenzo Rios lives nearby and heard the commotion. He said he didn't like what he was seeing so he recorded the incident.

"You could hear from across the street the pounding on her back and on her bones and she was yelling to stop because she was pregnant," said Lorenzo Rios.

Police Chief William McManus said an initial review of the video indicates the three officers followed proper procedure.

"Based on what we know right now, there was no reason to put them on admin duty," said Chief McManus. "We are going to look into it further though, just to make sure all our policies and procedures were followed properly."

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said Destiny Rios remains in the infirmary for treatment of an addiction, but is physically fine. The police report said Destiny Rios was medically cleared.
