SAN ANTONIO -- Two big traffic delays have been reported Thursday morning.

The first centered around a power outage in the Loop 410 and Broadway area. That caused major congestion and delays as there were no lights along the highway there, nor were the traffic lights even working at all. There were no flashing lights, only darkness.

Yvonne Casanova, a CPS Energy spokesperson, said a large breaker went out at around 5:58 Thursday morning. Originally about 9,000 customers were affected by the outage, including the San Antonio International Airport.

However, CPS crews were able to restore power to the airport first.

By 7:20 a.m. 2,500 customers were still without power, but CPS had most power returned by 7:30 a.m. According to a CPS Energy post on the KENS 5 Facebook page, they resolved the problem and are still working on multiple smaller outages.

In the time being, use extreme caution approaching the area.

Also, along Loop 1604 and Hwy. 151 an 18-wheeler rollover has been reported. Again, caution is the word of the day.
