The small town of New Braunfels has a crime on its hands that seems like something you would find in a big city.
In a way, it is.
New Braunfels police say on the morning of January 11, two men barged in to the Champs #4 store off of Loop 337. They allegedly pointed a gun at the clerk’s head and locked him in the bathroom.
Then the crooks took cigarettes and lottery tickets, police said. The whole ordeal lasted no more than five minutes.
The only description of the two attackers is that they are men – who wore black ski masks during the attack.
Police said roughly two hours later two women cashed the winning lottery tickets at a store at Southcross Boulevard in San Antonio.
Security cameras were able to grab images of the two women and the vehicle they were in.
"It could definitely -- totally be a total of four suspects we are looking for," said Lieutenant Stephen Hanna of the New Braunfels Police Department.
As of now, police say they have placed this caper on Crime Stoppers and are even offering a $2,000 reward for any information that could lead to arrests. If you know anything, you are urged to call the New Braunfels Police Department at 830-620-TIPS (8477).
