SAN ANTONIO - Police say around 11:00 p.m. Friday night, a man was riding his motorcycle north on Charlotte Street when he T-boned a minivan. The motorcyclist was killed instantly.

The minivan was carrying a man, a woman, and two children. The woman was taken to a hospital but died from her injuries hours later.

The man was also taken to a hospital in critical condition. The two kids were not seriously hurt.

Police are still investigating what events led to the accident but they are saying speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

The woman killed was identified as 42-year old Denise Zapata or San Antonio.

An identity of the motorcycle rider has not been released. The medical examiner said the victim was a 32-year-old white male.
