A fundraiser is being held Sunday in support of a local family who lost two young children during a police chase.
Patricia Doria organized the fundraiser that goes on through 8 p.m. Sunday at Deco Pizzeria on Fredericksburg Road.
"Our time on earth is limited, so give your kids a hug and tell them you love them. And then come out and support this family because they need us," she said.
Walter and Wesley Maspero were killed when their family's vehicle was hit on I-35 near Shepard Road last month.
Police say a suspected drug runner crashed into the family's station wagon.
The suspect, David Rodriguez, is now facing murder charges.
