The Aransas County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a YouTube post showing a man lashing a teenage girl is under investigation.
The video identifies the primary punisher an Aransas County family court judge, although the sheriff's office could neither confirm nor deny that claim. The video, from 2004, shows the teen getting punished for downloading something onto a computer. A camera somewhere in the room recorded the upsetting incident, lasting for seven minutes and 35 seconds.
The multiple posts of the video have been burning up the Internet. It starts with an adult male asking a woman to get a small child out of the room so that he can deal with an older child about a computer download. The man turns off the light and starts lashing on the alleged victim. He initially tries to get her to stretch out on a bed to be spanked.
The girl shrieks and cries as she is severely whipped. The video also shows the man cursing the child. A woman in the room during the whipping takes the belt from the man at one point and hits the girl too. She tells the girl to get on the bed and take her whipping like a woman. It gets increasingly worse.
The recorded punishment could turn into a child abuse charges.
