Man accused of stealing $27K in jewelry from Sam's Club

SAN ANTONIO -- Police say they have arrested a man suspected of stealing thousands of dollars in jewelry from a Sam's Club on the city's northwest side.

David Garza, 40, was arrested in San Antonio on Monday.

San Antonio police said he stole $27,000 worth of jewelry from Sam's Club, 5565 De Zavala Road, back in January.

According to his arrest affidavit, he is also a suspect in several burglaries in Louisiana and Mississippi, totaling more that a half a million dollars in stolen jewelry.

Police in San Antonio are also looking Garza in several ATM thefts.
