A driver was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Loop 1604 early Sunday morning.
Officers say just after 5 a.m. 47-year-old John Rubalcava rear-ended another vehicle sending it into the median at Loop 1604 and Hwy. 281.
When Rubalcava got out of his vehicle to check on the second driver he was struck down and killed.The driver of the second vehicle was air-lifted to University Hospital.
Two other vehicles, trying to avoid the accident, ended up colliding on the highway. Those people suffered only minor injuries.
