A strong line of thunderstorms that moved into the San Antonio area early Tuesday morning zapped power to thousands of people.
Nearly 3,000 customers were without power at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to the CPS website's power outage tracking map. The number had reached at least 33,000 earlier in the overnight hours.
The outages originally were concentrated in areas northwest and north of downtown in the Loop 410 areas. But by later in the storm, the outages had spread to all parts of the city.
