Police say speed might have played a role in an late-night accident that sent a motorcyclist and a pedestrian to the hospital.

The accident took place around 1 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Cincinnati. Investigators say the biker was headed east when he collided with a car. The impact caused the motorcyclist to fly off the bike and right into another man who was walking on the sidewalk.

Both are in the hospital this morning in serious condition. The woman driving the car was not injured.
