SAN ANTONIO -- Hundreds of people gathered at the Alamo on Saturday night in anticipation of Kanye West's newest music video.
The rapper announced on website that he would be projecting his newest video onto the Alamo at 11:30 p.m.
However, it never happened.
San Antonio police said more than 500 people showed up -- some to see the video and others to protest.
Fans complained on twitter that SAPD was responsible for shutting down the event, but police said that's not true. They said the organizers never showed up.
Members of the Texas Nationalist Movement were among the people protesting.
