The San Antonio journalism community is mourning the loss of one of its own.
KABB 29 news anchor Karen Martinez has passed away following a long battle with breast cancer. She was 37 years old.
Martinez was the anchor for FOX San Antonio's 9 p.m. newscast.
She leaves behind her husband, Joseph, and three children, Josh, Miranda, and Mitchell.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
