SAN ANTONIO -- After hours of clearing up the accident's scene, I-35 southbound at Evans has reopened as have the I-35 northbound lanes.
Traffic was backed up for miles in the area, causing long delays along the access roads.
The cause of the closures was a jackknifed 18-wheeler on the northbound lanes. Because the accident knocked down a light pole, the southbound lanes had also been blocked.
