I-37 crash survivor files lawsuit alleging faulty bus maintenance

SAN ANTONIO -- A surviving passenger from the tour bus that crashed on Interstate 37 on Tuesday was filing a lawsuit Thursday afternoon against the bus company.

Deborah Chavez is seeking compensation for damages in her lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Bexar County against Americanos USA, a subsidiary of Greyhound Lines.

The suit cites possible negligence in the maintenance of the bus.

Two people were killed and dozens were injured when the bus crashed Tuesday morning near Campbellton, about an hour south of San Antonio.
