SAN ANTONIO – According to her grandparents, 19-year-old Teresa Astorga masterminded her own kidnapping with her boyfriend, 22-year old Luis Trevino. The plan was for her to be kidnapped from her grandparents’ home and run away.

But when Trevino tried to take Astorga at knife-point both her grandparents stepped in to protect her.

Astorga's grandfather Guadalupe Astorga lost his balance in the struggle and has a broken jaw and a broken arm. His wife, Maria has a black eye and fractured arm.

According to Maria, they must  wait to find an affordable doctor before Guadalupe can get surgery.

Both grandparents say they can't seem to forgive their granddaughter, and that they will not bail her out.
