SAN ANTONIO-- The G-Bar opened in the Ingram Square Shopping Center last November. It wasn't long after that that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission started compiling a long list of issues involving the west-side bar.
A spokesperson said on top of administrative charges, San Antonio police have investigated multiple violent crimes all stemming from the bar.
Officers were called to 6820 Ingram Road numerous times to investigate a stabbing and shootings.
The TABC said the facility was also cited for selling alcohol to minors and for allowing minors to drink alcohol. A spokesperson said the owner failed to report various issues to the agency in a timely manner.
On Tuesday the bar, located in the 6000 block of Ingram Road, was forced to close.
Security for The G-Bar said most of the criminal activity did not begin at their facility. The owner will not be able to apply for a liquor license for one full year.
