A car crashed into a house in the early hours of Sunday morning, killing two people, police said.
Emergency responders said the driver of the car and an elderly man living in the home were among those injured in the crash.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. in the 4200 block of Timberhill Drive, which is near Loop 410 and Ingram Park Mall on the city's northwest side.
The crash started a fire at the house after rupturing a gas line, which firefighters worked to control.
"It was just so horrific to see something like this," said Valerie Gonzales. "I did not see anybody get out of the car. I didn't see anybody get out of the house."
Bystanders attempted to rescue the two men, but the flames were too intense.
There was no word yet about what caused the car to veer out of control and strike the house.
