Ten minutes is all the time some families had to get in and get out with as many of their belongings as they could grab Monday.

Their homes either were above or below the retaining wall collapse at the Hills of Rivermist subdivision.

Most residents in the area were allowed to return to their homes to stay as of 2 p.m. Monday, but there are about 20 homes still at risk.

Those residents were given just a few minutes to save what they could.

An escort gave each family just minutes to figure out what was most important to save and what they could actually carry.

Whether they eventually will get the rest out, they aren't sure.

A meeting with residents was scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday. The developer was set to tell homeowners what will happen next and try to help everyone move on.
