It's a mistake that has cost at least two CPS Energy executives their jobs: the higher-than-expected nuclear power project cost estimate.

Wednesday the CPS Board of Trustees released a 65-page detailed report on the botched cost estimate for the nuclear expansion project. The report is the result of a 6-week-long investigation.

The projected cost of the nuclear power expansion project was $4 billion higher than what people were lead to believe.

In a nutshell, the 65-page report says that those who knew of the cost difference didn't believe it. According to the report, they believed the cost difference was a negotiation ploy by Toshiba.
