A rollover accident killed one teenager early Wednesday morning, and officials say a night of drinking and speeding seems to be to blame.

Around 1 a.m., the driver, 18-year-old Joseph Becker, and a 17-year-old passenger were headed west on La Cantera near I-10. Police say the sprinkler systems left the roads wet, and when the teen hit a pocket of water, he lost control, hit the center median and went rolling several times.

Becker was thrown from the truck and died at the scene. Becker had just graduated from Brandeis High School last Friday.

The passenger suffered minor injuries.
