Dr. Ted Freeman says if you want to drink a gallon of AllergiDrops, you might see some benefit. Freeman is an allergist/immunologist who helps people deal with issues like mountain cedar. He says he received an invitation to a seminar that was introducing a new treatment/cure for allergies, so naturally he was interested. Freeman says when he got there what he saw was snake oil.
The company putting on the seminar was called I-Medical Concepts. They claimed to have a new product called AllergiDrops that all a patient had to do was put a few drops under their tongue and their would build up a resistance to whatever the allergen was. The problem is, according to Freeman, the company dilutes their product so much the only ways someone could relief was through ingest an unbelievable amount or the solution would have a placebo effect, meaning the mind would overpower the allergen. Freeman says sub lingual or under the tongue applications have been shown to be successful, but a person would need a much more concentrated dosage than what the company is offering. He also says I-Medical's solution contains up to 100 allergens, so it would be affective on most allergies, but again it is way too diluted to help anybody, except with a placebo effect.
We tried numerous times to get some kind of response from I-Medical Concepts, but no one returned our phone calls. We also went to their website, which says it is under renovation and we tried to email to the link provided on their website, but the email bounced back with a message that said the account doesn't exist.
