They danced under names like Lola and Charisma, but they left the stage under arrest, and in hand cuffs.

They were busted for going beyond topless.

At Paradise Gentleman's Club, San Antonio's vice squad arrested four dancers for violating city ordinances.

In a combined effort with the District Attorney's office, officers raided another strip club, too: The XTC Cabaret.

Nudity at both establishments led to arrests, including these gentlemen.

Managers are supposed to know the law, keep the girls scantily clad at best.

These guys apparently didn't.

So, they'll join the dancers in the pokey.

“All-nude dancing won’t be tolerated in the city of San Antonio and it’s illegal,” said Lt. Andy Rodriguez, with the San Antonio Police Vice Squad.

Officers say the raid was prompted by the girls exposing themselves to undercover cops, revealing parts of their bodies best kept under wraps. At least two of the women face prostitution charges.

"Some felt that  they were told by management that it was grandfathered in, and some weren't aware that it was illegal," said Lt. Andy Rodriguez .

In all, reports show 8 men and 4 women were taken from seats in the lounge to the backseats of squad cars.

Authorities say it is a message to all dancing establishments to keep it clean in the new year.

Who's the clown at SAPD that plots out these useless raids to issue misdemeanor citations that are a waste of time and money. The people arreseted are usually released before the story is and I am sure there is no shortage of SA's Finest volunteering for this BS assignment and what, no drug possesion charges? stemming from this so-called investigation or was that the reason to target a private club that clearly advertises "ALL NUDE" to score the drugs and prostitutes for SAPD's VIP party that will not make the news. Go out and DO YOUR JOB!!! catch criminals and leave the naked girls alone.

Yup. Gotta stop these dancers from showing too much skin. Once we have this under control we'll move to the less serious crimes that involve shootings, stabbings, armed robberies, gang violence, home invasions and car-jacking.
