Johnny Forbes, a Comfort resident, has been growing the gourd since 2010.
At 515 pounds it is his biggest pumpkin yet.
Every year, Forbes special orders giant pumpkin seeds from Winsor, Nova Scotia and grows them with a lot of TLC.
It is so big that Forbes can sit down inside it.
He spent the day carving his prize with his son and grandchildren.
