Comalander Stadium was evacuated Saturday night after a bomb threat was received at San Antonio Police headquarters, North East ISD officials said.

About 4,000 people were evacuated without incident. There was a large traffic jam in the area of Starcrest and Jones Maltsberger on the city's north side.

The football game between MacArthur and Johnson high schools was canceled. The MacArthur Homecoming dance, which was scheduled after the game at a nearby gymnasium, also was called off.

Bomb-sniffing dogs were being used late Saturday to check the stadium for any possible bomb materials.

This is a developing story. More soon at Kens5.com...
