SAPD: Driver plows into home after running stop sign

Three people are hospitalized after a car plowed into an east side home.

Police say a man ran a stop sign at the corner of Summer Fest and Sunrise Cove Drives and collided with another vehicle. The impact caused car that ran the stop sign to crash into a nearby home in the east-side neighborhood.

The driver and child inside the car were rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One person in the second vehicle was also hospitalized.

No one was in the home at the time of the accident, but authorities say the crashed caused about $30,000 worth of damage to the home.
