SAN ANTONIO -- Is a bulldozer a weapon? It is for those picketing at the Marriott Wednesday.
They are pointing the finger at Caterpillar and accusing them of supplying bulldozers to the Israeli Army.
The group calls themselves the Jewish Voice for Peace. The handful of citizens picketed outside the downtown Marriott where Caterpillar held its annual shareholder's meeting.
That army apparently puts the equipment to military use - uprooting Palestinian homes and property.
The protesters say the company should be an "upstanding corporate citizen of the world."
"Ultimately, we'd like to see Caterpillar stop supplying Israel with weapons it's using against a civilian population," said Judith Norman with Jewish Voice for Peace.
Caterpillar says the protest is misplaced.
A company spokesperson said Caterpillar does not sell bulldozers to Israel. Corporate spokesman Jim Dugan said Caterpillar sells to the United States government, and that any equipment that ends up in Israel comes through a program run by the U.S. Department of Defense.
