Possible cougar in The Dominion

SAN ANTONIO -- Texas Parks and Wildlife researchers believe a bobcat attacked and killed a small dog in a north San Antonio subdivision.

The dog's owner said he saw what he thought was a mountain lion snatch his dog from his backyard in The Dominion on Tuesday night.

The dog's body was found the next day and was examined by urban biologists, who determined it was actually a bob cat that snatched Sophie.

But the dog's owner disagrees. He said the predator did not look like any bobcat.

Texas Parks and Wildlife has set up camera in the wooded area behind the man's house to see if they can catch an image of the large cat.

A dead bobcat was found along the nearby I-10 access road several weeks earlier.
