SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio high school teacher was arrested over the weekend on a felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's office.

Bexar County officials confirmed Monday that Adam Paul Eannarino was arrested by Texas A&M University police in College Station. Eannarino is being held in the Brazos County Jail.

Eannarino was arrested a day after investigators issued a warrant for his arrest in Bexar County.

Eannarino's alleged victim was 10-years-old at the time of the assault, according to the arrest warrant.

Eannarino has been a math teacher at Robert E. Lee High School since 2011.  North East Independent School District officials have placed Eannarino on administrative leave.

Texas A&M University police confirm Eannarino was arrested Saturday without incident.
