Arson investigators said a fire that broke out Monday night north of downtown was suspicious.

The fire happened at the Mulberry Village Apartments and had spread to eight units.

No one was injured.

Firefighters said the complex was vacant because it's set for demolition.

But the flames caused about $30,000 in damage.
