SAN ANTONIO -- A homeowner on the city's west side told firefighters his house went up in flames after his girlfriend set fire to the couch on his front porch.
San Antonio firefighters were called to the South Hamilton Street home around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. They said it appears the fire spread from the porch to the front bedroom, causing nearly $10,000 in damage.
The blaze was contained within five minutes, firefighters said.
